Aboveground Tank Check Points
1. Visually inspect the above ground tank for signs of weeping along the belly of the tank
this is a tell tale sign of "it's time to install a new tank". If, overlooked the tank
will eventually spring a leak and a oil spill will occur either in your basement and or
the ground outside of your home, it is very important to inspect the tanks that
may be located at your summer or vacation home.
2. The copper lines that run from the tank to the furnace can be compromised as well by debris
that may be pushed up against the copper, thus creating a bend in the copper and eventually breakage.
